Let's not compare ourselves with others shall we? Simply put, we do not box up our products. It's just about gathering like-minded entreprenuers to get out there into the retail action!
If the shop space is to be shared by various sellers, who will manage the shop in general during the day ? Does each vendor need someone to watch over their products ?
Hi taszel, we will be hiring sales assistants to be in the store to sell the products on vendor's behalf. Each vendor will have a dedicated sales assistant whom they can train on their products. So there's no need for the vendor to hire anyone on their own or to be at the store themselves :)
Hi, the rates currently are around $300-$400/month on a 1.5 X 2 feet of wall space. Vendors can also choose the type of displayers (eg. shelves, hanger arms, racks, etc) needed for their products.
Hi, the base salary of the sales assistants is already included in the $300-$400 of rent. There will be a 5% commission on gross sales given to the sales assistants.
Hi, who will manage the shop asst' employment benefits? what happens if my only shop asst suddenly reports sick? How do you categorise the space within your outlet for each variety of product displayed there? Would there be any form of limitations on the types of products being retailed at each space rented? Do you deploy a shop floor manager to manage all the shop assts from different owners?
We are into wholesale trade and so we have several varieties of products for retail as a sideline. Your retail sharing concept sounds right for us.
